Just a few cards using up scraps from making page kits over the last couple weeks. Enjoy

Rolling Rolling Rolling

A silly card using up some scraps makes me think of Watermelon. ;) The other is for Misty's birthday.

So here are a few layouts I made recently. One even has pictures this in my nephew with his Bunny it went everywhere with him till he was about 5 he is now 10 but I just love these pictures I was going to let my sister title it since it's for her book. The other layout is a swap layout yet again. Brenda I know your not going to like it because the CS are not on both pages but I loved how it turned out.

This layout is made just for my dear friend Lori she loves this paper packet. LOL Really she does we have just exsausted it with all the layouts we have made with it. This is my FINAL layout with it I have used up all my scraps of it on cards and finishing this layout.
These are my two kit layouts that the swap almost completely flopped on. A few people did their due dillagence but 3 of the people in the swap didn't finish their pages so it really sucked when I did two sets hoping to use one as a gift and didnt' get them back until 2 1/2 months after the due date
Here is my second page I have 3 of these floating around if you would like to trade a page let me know.

Another layout kit for Brenda and Lori. If you girls are checking this out I know it needs something but don't know what to put on it. Needs something stamped let me know if you think of something.

This is my layout for Challenge #29. The left pages was the layout for the challenge and I made the other one to match it since I generally do two page layouts I also uses up all of this paper too. So don't worry Lori you won't be getting a layout made out of these. ;)

For Misty and Arcalee

Here are the circle journals that belong to Misty and Arcalee. Mistys is the one on the right is is based on what you would do if you could live yourlife without fear. The one one the left is Arcalee and it's about her favorite things.

I will post more when I get another one done.

What a weekend

The weekend virtually flew by, I had high hopes to accomplish lots on Saturday and sleep felt so much better. My mom would be disapointed but I will catch up this week. Friday night we went up to North Kansas City to play darts and visit with friends. We did it really on the cheap and we still spent more that I wanted to but we were under the amount we alloted to go out. We had a ton of fun and it was really great to see everyone.

Saturday I had a make-up dart match in Independence and we won 7-6. Then we met up with some friends to eat at Texas Roadhouse. We had a gift certificate. That we have been dying to use. The prime rib was fantastic. Yummo.

Sunday we went to see Matt's mom and step dad in Dover. We had a good time but it was wonderful to be home again. I got to watch the finale of Harpers Island on Sunday morning and I loved the series but felt like they totally rushed the end. Call me a critic.

Odds and Ends

Here are a few cards that I have made over the last month or so I have been trying to get back in the habit of making something every night. Keeps my brain functioning apparently. I figured I would make a baby card for my sister and I have a couple birthdays coming up. and one just for fun with a flower.

I have been working with these scraps of paper that I had after creating my monthly layouts my girlfriend and I determined I would use the scraps for my other girlfriend. Here are a few things I made with the leftover papers. I loved the colors in these and thought they made great princess or girly layouts.

Layout Challenge

Here is my two layouts for the layout challenge. These were challenge 22 and 23 and I altered the one a little bit to make a two page layout. Hope you all enjoy.

For Baby

So my siter had her baby about a week and 1/2 ago and I just finished up making the announcements and need to get them in the mail to her. She didn't need many of them so I have about 30 of these that will head to her this week. I might have time to get some candy bar wrappers done too. ;)

Budget & Part time money

We finally completed our budget for July were trying something new in hopes of making our financial situation a little better and getting some money in savings. Were hoping to have a little left over at the end of the month in order to stash away for ADA Nationals in August. If we hadn't already committed to going we would back out but if we don't go then the people were playing with have to go to Open status and play without averages. Then all the spare cash goes into the Emergency fund until we hit 1,000. Then we can pay off all existing debt, loans, and automobiles. I'm also looking for some part time work either makeing and selling craft items or doing something retail. I would love to sell my stuff online so I might open an etsy shop for some jewelry. So be on the lookout I will post my store name when I get one. ;) If anyone needs any custom jewelry let me knoe I would be happy to make something for you or a loved one.

Fly me to the moon

So I am really ready to get out of Kansas City. Ready to bolt and not tell anyone where im going or when I will be back. I just want to run. I'm sooo sick of being the responsible one. I just want to enjoy part of life and that hasn't happen for a while. Anyone got any ideas on how to make my frown turn upside down that doesn't cost a whole lot of money.

Catching up

Okay so I haven't posted for ABOUT 3 months and I have had lots of stuff happening, Beginning in April I started Weight Watchers to help assist with one of my MANY new years resolutions, which was to lose weight. I am currently at 17lbs lost with last weeks weigh in. However I did go one a camping trip this weekend and I consumed a little more than I should have I hope to only have a pound gain. I'm praying, really hard. I did do a lot of walking and that should help with my points. When I started my goal was 20 lbs before this trip and I didn't make it but I came close, it wasn't anreasonable goal but one I would have really had to buckle down to make I had a couple holidays in there and that made it a little rough. Oh well I did good for the first time goal.

I have not done hardly any scrapbooking or creating lately and it's a shame. Because I was just finally getting into a groove again. The last things I did were in May for National Scrapbooking Day.

I went on vacation this past weekend down to the COOOP, its a big outdoor steel tip tournament with lots of people and camping and it was a blast I had a great time and can't wait to go back next year I meet some really cool people and forgot to get their telephone numbers but will plan on seeing them next year.

I made a final decision about the girls get together in Chicago the last weekend in June. I won't be able to go. I am truely sad but will make the effort to see those girls soon. I miss them.

Busy Busy

So here are my retreat cards for Hilda my love and myself. I just loved that I had enought to make them all the same and all match. ;) I will be teaching beading on pages at the retreat as part of a technique showing were going to be doing.

Thank you for waiting.

These are my layouts for the retreat in Wisconsin this summer. I did one for me and the other for Hilda my love so she could focus on getting all the other aspects of the retreat worked out. Since she is going to be doing all the planning on her own. Especially since I have so much paper that I could have made these for the entire group and my paper stash wouldn't have even taken a hit. My embelishments might start to be scare but I think I have enough paper to make it. ;) Hope you enjoy them.

So here are a couple more cards that I took some time to create over the weekend. The thank you is for the same bunch of gals and the birthday card is for a swap that I am in on that is due in March. I have to tell you I got new 3 Bugs in a Rug paper the other night and just LOVE it.

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

So I finally had some time to create something it seems like I haven't created since the end of December. In any event I made a few cards to trade with some of my scrapping gal pals. Here is one of the cards that I made. Hope you enjoy it.

Got tagged

So the first tag that I recieved was from Arcalee and sadly I have no one to tag but will still play along I have to tell you about 10 favorites of mine that start with the letter she picked. For me I got D so here is my list.

1. Darts

2. Dollars - yes I love money

3. Dutch Peppermints

4. DVR - Sometimes I wonder what we ever did without them.

5. Dancing

6. Dressing Up

7. Details

8. Diamonds

9. Digital Camera

10. Dessert

The second tag/email I thought I would post here It's sort of fun you take the 5th picture in the 5th folder you have and tell everyone about it. My picture is of my dear friend Adam aka Sunshine or My Boyfiend - It's okay Matt knows all about it. This picture was taken in Omaha at the annual Hodges Dart Tournament he was goofing off downstairs and I snapped this picture of him.

For this challenge I tag Arcalee, Misty, Amy, and Lori. Hope you all have a great weekend. ;)

What a week

So I have been totally self involved this past week. I spent a couple days home sick then Friday afternoon I went to the ER to get my leg looked at. A few sheets (14) of sheetrock fell on me and figured I better be safe than sorry. So I have gimped around for a couple days and still have a bum knee but for the most part I am doing okay. I should have some record sized bruises to show soon. They checked out the whole leg and I now now why my mom always said wear clean underware. Because you never know when your going to have to drop your pants and be in your skivies. I only wish I had been told to always shave my legs, how embarrasing! Anywho I haven't done well with ANY of my resolutions except this blog which I love doing. I am hoping to put together a video sometime. Cross your fingers and I hope to get some artwork up soon.

That didn't work

I had this great idea that I would do the Project 365 and I failed miserably. The project entails taking pictures everyday at least one that way you can stick it in a page protector with the other pictures from the whole week and you have an album about the whole year. While I thought this would be fun to document my year I didn't get to far before I fell on my face. Alas I will do better and I will get the first week done. My nieces birthday party is tonight and I plan to get some pictures of that event I need to start taking more pictures because a friend asked me to take pictures of her wedding. AHHH this scares me to death.

To be in good health

So I got together with my girlfriends Lori and Brenda this weekend to scrapbook and didn't really accomplish a whole lot but more than I usually get done. I think I completed 7 of the kits that we do. Anywho we cut it short for various reasons but one was so I could watch my niece since my sister in law was taking my brother and nephew to the hospital since they were sickly. She was just as good as gold. I went up to help Matt with the tournament and there were TONs of people. We had 18 teams I was thrilled to help out and keep it running smoothly. Sunday evening wasn't as great as Saturday night neither Matt nor I felt very good and it remained that way for a couple days. Both households are feeling much better this week and hope to remain that way.

So here is a little something that I created at the last retreat I was at I haven't worked on anything new lately. But thought I would give you a little something to look forward to in the future. This was fun to make out of of a true-fit folio and I loved how it turned out.
